I find vegan baklava to be one of the best sweets. Some might find it a bit too sweet, but hey that’s what I like 😛.

Vegan baklava recipe
The Mediterranean desert
Preheat oven to 180C/350F.
To a food processor add the nuts and cinnamon, process until crumbly.
Melt vegan butter and grab your filo pastry. cover baking tray with vegan butter, add two layers of pastry and add butter again.
Top with nuts, and repeat this process until you have about 6-8 layers.
Using sharp knife cut the baklava, and then bake for about 50 minutes, until golden and crisp.
Meanwhile, make the sauce, boil sugar and water until sugar is melted. Add lemon peel and agave. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
Remove baklava from the oven and spoon the sauce over it immediately.
