I recently moved to Spain, and have learned many new things here. One of which is this super cool way they make vegan soap from lemon peels!
It’s super simple and an easy way to use your lemon peels in a good way. We use a lot of lemon over here, and probably fill one of these big bottles every week. Most of you probably aren’t such big lemon users, but you can still collect them over a longer period of time.

DIY Lemon Soap – Vegan & Zero Waste
Description
Never waste any lemon peels again!
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Start with collecting all your lemon peels in a bottle, keep it closed so it can already start fermenting.
-
Once the bottle is full, cover the lemons with water, cover with the lid and make sure to poke a little hole in it to prevent it exploding.
-
Now you should let these sit for at least 2-4 weeks, depending on how hot it is where you live.
-
After this, you can start making your soap combo:
- 3/4 water
- 1/4 lemon fermented juice
- Some soap
