This recipe goes so well with a potato mash and some apple sauce! Vegan picadillo is really one of our standards here at home, as before we were vegan, we loved this dish.

The vegan version definitely doesn’t disappoint!

You can have a scroll on our page for the potato mash with carrots or the other on with cauliflower. Both great options!

  1. Heat up a pan with some olive oil. Once heated, add in the chopped onion and garlic. Sautรฉ them for a few minutes.

  2. Add in the celery, carrots let cook few minutes before adding the mushrooms and zucchini. Then add in the vegetable broth, black pepper, nutmeg, oregano and cayenne.

  3. Crumble your tofu into it and combine very well. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper if needed.

    Let simmer 5 more minutes.

  4. Enjoy with some apple sauce and potato mash!
