These are delicious and if you would like to make them fat free, just bake them in the oven. Keep in mind that they won’t be as crunchy tough!

These are actually pretty similar to the vegan chicken fingers we made a while back, and you can have these with our homemade vegan mayonnaise.

  1. Combine the flax meal with the water and let it sit for at least 3 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, grab your flour and add in the black pepper, salt, chili, smoked paprika, garlic powder and flax egg. Combine everything thoroughly.

  3. Once mixed well add in the cup of water and mix well. The result should be much like a pancake batter.

  4. Crush your rice crispies and pour them into a container. Dip your sliced tofu into the batter and then cover them with the cripsies.

    Now transfer to a pan with some oil to fry them, or bake them in the oven for 25 minutes on 200C/390F.

  5. Enjoy them with some ketchup and rice or with a burger ๐Ÿคค.
