We like to try new things and make variations of existing recipes. I have seen a broccoli potato mash and we recently made a carrot potato mash, but I have never seen it being made with cauliflower.

So, with some leftover cauliflower I had in my fridge, I tried it out. It was super good!

  1. Wash your vegetables and medium dice them. Don't forget to peel your potatoes.

  2. To a big pot, add a layer of water and let it boil. Once boiling, add in the cauliflower and potatoes plus half of the salt. Let it boil until soft, about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Once boiled, add in some olive oil, salt, black pepper, nutmeg and mash the cooked vegetables.

    Taste them and adjust with more spices/salt if needed.

  4. Enjoy this picadillo with anything you fancy!
