Let me share our opinion on activism with you, what we think and do about it.

Activism has become a very popular word these past few months. Left and right, people protest and rally in relation to politics, the environment, rights, freedoms, etc. Name a topic and there is probably a rally somewhere about it.

Love it or hate it, one can never deny that activism can bring about a large degree of change.

But I have one problem with it, most people just go for fun and don’t act enough their selves. We all need to be the change we want to see in this world. ๐ŸŒŽ And it’s way more important to act than to just spread the word! The best leaders don’t say what to do, they show what to do… the best leader, lead by example. Once you’re actively being the change, then you should go march. Now, I’m not saying it’s bad to go when you aren’t being the change yourself because going to a march will maybe motivate you to act.

The easiest way to make a BIG impact is to eat less to no meat. Cattle ranching (and soybean production, almost 80% of the world’s soybean crop is fed to livestock) is the leading cause of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest, it has been responsible for about 80% of all deforestation in the region. You don’t need to go vegan all the way immediately, just start by not eating meat one day a week, then twice,… and eventually Go Vegan. And if you can’t leave meat off you’re plate, search for good meat from a local farmer or at least with the Bio Label and just eat it once a week or so.

Hopefully, I’ve been able to motivate you to act with us, by cooking our recipes and eat less/no meat.
